Movements To Support

Right now, at least 8 genocides are happening in the world: Palestinian Genocide, Sudanese Genocide, The Silent Holocaust of Congo, Tigray Ethnic Genocide of Amhara (Ethiopia), Armenian Genocide (Nagorno-Karabakh), West Papua Genocide (New Guinea), Forced Labor of Uyghurs (China), and Burma/Myanmar Genocide. I would also like to add the Tibetan Genocide (China), the rise in extremist Hindu attacks against Muslims in India, the Hazara Genocide (Afghanistan), the LandBack movement highlighting the current struggle to take back Turtle Island as well as No DAPL which has been called the largest gathering of Indigenous tribes in over a century, and Black Lives Matter which tackles the systemic violence that Black Americans in the US face on a daily basis. There is also the forced starvation of Yemeni peoples at the hands of the Houthi rebels that has been ongoing since 2016.

Disability rights are suffering across the world, as such, Disability Debrief was formed to address the global disconnect between disability centered discussions and the mainstream news coverage regarding them. As a US specific resource, I recommend supporting Truckers Against Trafficking to address the rampant human trafficking problem within our nation’s borders. The me too movement also deserves an honorable mention as gender based violence is still an area of major concern in the US. Along the same path, Latinx Parenting, a bilingual organization, is an excellent resource for South American and Caribbean families to help decolonize their minds and promote intergenerational trauma healing methods.

My Palestine page is a repository for collected information on Palestine, the resistance, and documents produced by and for multiple pro-Palestine political action groups for wider distribution amongst activists and on personal social media accounts. Infographics, images, and other resources have also been collected from across the internet as such watermarking has been preserved for the sake of transparency. A good deal of the material was collected from recommendations and private collections made by members of the Palirev.web activist group. The page will be updated as new information and graphics become available. All material presented here is in the English language and are provided for educational purposes only.

My Sudan and South Sudan page is a repository for collected information on both countries before and after their split into separate nations. Finding materials to educate people on this topic has been a challenge as support for the displaced peoples of Sudan and South Sudan has flown under the radar of the public eye in many a Western nation. Once I find more material to share, this page will grow to encompass all relevant information to the genocide and conflicts happening within Sudan and South Sudan. All material presented here is in the English language and are provided for educational purposes only.

My Democratic Republic of the Congo page is a repository for collected information on the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Many material shared here cover multiple regions within Africa, including the DRC, as European colonization and imperialism are a shared trauma throughtout the continent. Once I find more material to share, this page will grow to encompass all relevant information to the genocide and conflicts happening within DRC. All material presented here is in the English language and are provided for educational purposes only.

Finding legitemate fundraisers that help the people that they claim to raise money for directly can be a challenge. This holds especially true given the fact that many who want to donate do not have the tools to differentiate between scams and verified fundraising efforts. Many people working on their own or from within activist groups have taken it upon themselves to fill in this knowledge gap making it easier for people to find the appropriate cause that interests them with the security of knowing that their donation is being put to good use. The fruits of these efforts are listed below with a location identifier for the sake of clarity.
